Mission Statement

The mission of NorthWest Johnson County Republicans (NWJC Republicans) is to facilitate the empowerment of individuals as they work to develop leadership and influence at the neighborhood, municipal, county, state, and national level.

NWJC Republicans will achieve this by:

  1. Functioning as an independent organization that is accountable to members of the group only and has no allegiance to any party hierarchy. This is intended to ensure, as much as possible, forums and processes where issues and candidates can be freely discussed. This also means the group the will only represent positions that have been internally generated or vetted and agreed upon.

  2. Providing a safe place for conservatives to openly challenge and debate issues within a contextual framework that values fundamental conservative principles. This is intended to help conservatives provide clarity to their message as well as differentiate it in the public arena.

  3. Developing a common (although not necessarily universal) voice in support of candidates and issues. This will also give candidates and those championing issues streamlined access to a significant conservative population.

  4. Developing an active cascading network of members that will facilitate the transfer of information within the group.

  5. Providing an organization that seeks to develop resources in important areas of local, state, and national concern. These resources will be made available to members of the group so that they can become educated themselves on topics of interest.

  6. Providing an organization that can match the resources needed to educate and train individuals who are interested in participating in public service in one or more different areas (city council, commissions etc.).

  7. Actively recruiting and supporting conservative individuals to serve in local and state public office.

  8. Facilitating activities and connections that will grow the sense of community in our cities and neighborhoods.
